To run your own Membership Site requires a good working knowledge of website design. However these tools can drastically enhance your site's appeal and help you build your subscriber base while profitting on the front and back ends.

1. Butterfly Marketing Script

This is not an ordinary affiliate program. Actually, it's not just an affiliate program.

It's a complete system that can transform your online business model. I'm an owner of the software myself - and having spent some time inside the Admin section, I've found so many features that it's hard to describe how good it is to use.

With the Butterfly Marketing Script you can set up different levels of affiliate referral commissions (for instance, pay some marketers higher than others) by setting up different access levels.

You can also set up different payment processors, so you're not totally dependant on PayPal (a feature that I love of course ...)

2. Fantasos

If you want to take an "engineering approach" to your own affiliate program, then look no further than Fantasos.

Created by legendary internet marketer and software designer John Delavera, who incidentally created a ton more software products here), Fantasos is John's jewel in the crown when it comes to creating and maintaining an affiliate system designed for marketers on the move !

The main method of paying affiliates is through PayPal but you can issue your own International Cheques if you wish. The only negative to this system is that there is a $100/year maintenance fee - used to continue the development of the platform and provide for upgrades and updates. You get 1 whole year of free upgrades when you purchase.

3. Giveaway Manager

I'm pleased to present you with my own product here, Giveaway Manager.

This system has been designed as a "Giveaway Site" where members sign up to receive gifts and join your mailing list. It exclusively uses Clickbank for paying affiliates, so promoting the site is very easy !

It was also built to cater for product handling within a typical membership site, so you can have two levels of products available: a "basic" product, and an "enhanced" product.

Your products are handled in a separate download location, and controlled for release by allowing them to be viewed within the membership site.

You can set it up as a free membership site, or as a paid site. Alternatively you can use it for what it was originally built for: a Giveaway Site.

4. Member Fire Membership Script

This script is small but powerful. With it you create secure areas, but it doesn't come with an affiliate program, so you'll have to work that out yourself. However there is a "secure" signup and "non-secure" signup mode.

The secure mode works with Clickbank and uses a deny function from your host if the user is not a recognised user from Clickbank. It integrates well with an autoresponder, as well as easy to install. Admin can add or remove members on the fly, and you can set the access for a set period of time (monthly) or for "unlimited" access.

It provides password management links as well - so your secure area is self managed. For the price it is well worth it.
